Attendance Awareness Month
Education
Through collaboration with local schools, businesses, churches, and nonprofits, we focus on reducing chronic absenteeism. September is officially Attendance Awareness Month in Barrow County.
Auburn Prevention Project (APP)
Prevention
Community collaboration to prevent and reduce alcohol and marijuana use among youth ages 11–18. Partners include schools, law enforcement, healthcare workers, and parents. BCFC serves as APP Board Chair.
Back 2 School Bash
Community
A community-led collaborative providing free school supplies to Barrow County children each year — typically held in late July to prepare kids for the school year ahead.
Suicide Prevention Task Force
Health
A local initiative to reduce suicide rates in Barrow County through prevention education, legislation advocacy, and ideation protocols. Partners include EMS, Sheriff, NGHS, schools, and The Tree House.
You Matter Summit
Mental Health
Annual youth mental health summit hosted in partnership with Barrow County School System and Northeast Georgia Health System — addressing trauma, mental wellness, and resilience for students.

All of our work is designed to produce positive outcomes in five key areas for children and families in Barrow County.
Attendance Awareness Month
EducationSeptember is officially Attendance Awareness Month in Barrow County. We collaborate with local schools, businesses, churches, and nonprofits to emphasize the importance of school attendance and reduce chronic absenteeism.

You Matter Summit
Mental HealthAnnual youth summit addressing mental health and trauma. Approximately 68% of adults have experienced some form of trauma before age 25. This summit equips students, educators, and families with tools and resources.
